Monitor, Monitor, Monitor
Employee computer monitoring is becoming more and more popular in the workplace. Uncovering The Web Time Wasters
We recently released a new update that offers a wide range of upgrades to its cloud-based employee monitoring software. One new feature is the Top Websites report.
At the end of each day or week (you can select which), you’ll receive a ‘top website’ report, with an easy to understand bar chart representing each website visited and the frequency at which they’re browsed. By clicking on one of the bars, you’ll then be taken to a separate report that shows the ‘Top Users Report’. This report will highlight which employees are visiting the website in question the most.
This information is crucial in uncovering time wasters, and it gives you all the information (and evidence) you need to take action.
Letting employees know that monitoring is going on is highly recommended. Not only is it the law in most countries, but it will also help to build trust. Don’t surprise employees with “gotcha” tactics – let them know you’re going to be monitoring them.
